Wounded Warriors Fete Operation Impact Champions

Tuesday, 11 November 2008 Operation IMPACT took control on the Flight Deck of the U.S.S. Midway Museum with Three Hundred Veterans, Family, Friends, Advocates, and Executives of Event Sponsor, Northrop Grumman Corporations (NGC).

The event, Master of Ceremonies Steve Lewandowski took control of the Event Helm steering the event into a smashing success. NGC officials spoke of the virtues of being a leader in the corporate world by creating employment opportunities for OEF -OIF Wounded Warriors via Operation IMPACT. Keynote Speaker Lt. Col. Tom Richards (USMC Retired) eloquently stressed the role of leadership by NGC for creating a future for Military Veteran Wounded Warriors.

Wounded Warrior, Guillermo Nava, (USMC Retired) lead the way for his fellow veteran NGC Hires to honor Operation IMPACT Champions, the NGC Team that works tirelessly to seek out those who have the desire and initiative to achieve success as employees of NGC.

Veterans Day 2008 - Operation IMPACT Appreciation was filled with the love of Brotherhood and a Camaraderie indicative of a group of folks who really care about our country and the value of our nations Defenders of Freedom. The event featured entertainers were Haute Flash, a 4 piece Female Classic Rock Band, this band really Rocks, Lamont Ferguson, Comedian had the crowd in stitches, and a newcomer Comedian from San Diego, former U.S. Navy Submariner, Stephen Rosso got the crowd kicked off. An event highlight was the Gourmet Buffet presented by the Fantail Cafe.

Special thanks goes to the Eagle Young Marines for their very professional presentation of colors, along with the singing of the National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, an Event Prayer especially written by MC, Steve Lewandowski, making the event an All American Patriotic salute to our nations defenders of freedom, U.S. Military Veterans.
